About Us

jenIt is hard for me to believe that it has been eight years since I began to crochet.

In the Fall of 1999, my husband, Steve, and I were excitedly awaiting the birth of our first child. I asked my friend, Elizabeth, to teach me how to crochet so that I could make a baby blanket. She patiently taught me the basics. It took nearly the entire nine months, but by the time he was born, I had an almost-square blanket to wrap around my handsome Asher.

Two years later, it took only a few weeks to crochet a yellow blanket when my second son,Levi, was born.

By the time my daughter, Eden, was born in 2004, I had learned a variety of stitches that allowed me to crochet a pink sweater & bonnet in addition to the blanket.

When my youngest son, Ephraim, was born two years ago, he received my first succesful pair of booties, as well as a blanket.

As I have crocheted countless hats, scarves and blankets for friends and family; crochet has become a genuine passion of mine. I sincerely hope that you get as much joy out of wearing my Hats N' Scarves as I get out of making them.

ruhama I started scrapbooking and stamping in earnest when I moved to Burlington in January of 2000. I have always enjoyed letter writing and having pen pals, so making cards seemed to be a natural extension of this pastime. And now with email taking the place of ‘snail mail’, it seems even more important to encourage folks to send things to the physical mailbox.

I am a librarian by trade, and worked at the Burlington Public Library as Youth Services Librarian for almost 8 years. I enjoy reading all types of literature, but youth and teen books have a special place in my heart (and bookshelf). Many of my card ideas I have altered from layouts found in stamping books at the library, as well as several crafty blogs I subscribe to and read regularly.

The stamps I use on these cards are primarily from Stampendous!, Stampin’ Up!, Stampinton&Co. and Hero Arts. These companies have given permission to use their images on products I create.
